typeof, we, our and us refers to typeof conference and any of our affiliates. EngMindera Software Engineering SA is the data controller for the information you provide, unless otherwise stated. What will we do with the information you provide to us?

All of the information you provide to us will only be used for the purpose of providing you information and/or access to the conference, or to fulfil legal or regulatory requirements, if necessary.

We will not share any of the information you provide with any third parties for marketing purposes or store any of your information outside of the European Economic Area, unless that country is covered under Article 45. You can see a detailed list of countries. The information you provide will be held securely by us and/or our data processors whether the information is in electronic or physical format.

What information do we ask for, and why?

We only collect personal data that fulfills our stated purposes and will not retain it for longer than is necessary.

The information we ask for is used to organize our events, estimate attendance and organize logistics, catering and other requirements. If you disagree with our policy and do not wish to provide us with this information, you will be unable to attend these events.

Use of data processors

Data processors are third parties who provide elements of our event organisation and planning for us.

Tito

If you buy tickets to our events, you will provide the requested information to Tito, who provide this online service for us. Once you enter your name, email address and any other optional information, they will hold the information you submit and we will have access to it.

Mailchimp

If you use our mailing lists, you will provide the requested information to Mailchimp, who provide this online service for us. Once you submit your email address, they will hold the information you submit and we will have access to it, storing this information on their servers in the United States, and stored there in accordance with the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Websites, mobile applications and other services

We use cookies and other technologies to collect information when you visit our sites or use our mobile applications and other services. Collecting such information may involve logging the IP address, operating system and browser software used by each user, as well as general application and website usage information. We may be able to determine from an IP address a user’s Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity, as well as accessing geolocation information.

Email

We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt and protect email traffic. If your email service does not support TLS, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit.

We take appropriate measures to ensure that all personal data is kept secure including security measures to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we adhere to industry best-practices and will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted through any online means, therefore any transmission remains at your own risk.

How long is the information retained for?

The data collected from events, mailing list sign-up, website and mobile application usage will be retained for a period of 1 year after the event.

You can access your Personally Identifiable Information and confirm that it remains correct and up-to-date or choose whether or not you wish to receive material from us or some of our partners by contacting us and requesting access to this information.
